Al Griffin is a video artist living in Buffalo, NY, and working in both Buffalo and New York City. He composes and improvises his visuals using original and found videos and Super8 films, and he works solo, as half of Hellbender Film Projekt (with Adam Kendall), and with the electro-acoustic musicians Vortex (Satoshi Takeishi and Shoko Nagai). He has performed in New York City at ABC No Rio, Share, F:T:H, Eyewash, Flux Factory, and the Robert Beck Memorial Cinema / Collective Unconscious. He has performed at the Impulse Response series in Troy, NY, his works have been presented in Japan, and his pieces have been included in the 2004 New York Video Festival via the "Synaesthesiologists" video-jukebox, in the 2005 Spark Festival at the University of Minnesota School of Music, and in the "Eyewash Volume II" compilation DVD of emerging New York City video artists.
