I'm performing video in Neil Rolnick's electro-acoustic, audio-video composition "Economic Engine". Neil and I developed a video-component using source footage created by Chinese video-artist Cindy NgSio Ieng. The music incorporates Eastern and Western esthetics and instruments, pushing both styles forward by the meeting of acoustic instruments, electronic processing, and video. It's the US premiere of a piece Skolnick and Ieng first presented at the Beijing Modern Music Festival at the Chinese Central Conservatory in May 2008.
